Rose Mary Lara Gonzalez was born September 21, 1956, in Fort Worth, Texas to Raquel Lara Cobarruvias. Rose Mary was very fortunate to have other mother and father figures in her life. Rose Mary lived with her grandparents Beta and Cipriano Lara and then her aunt Mela and uncle Lasaro. She graduated from North Side High School and worked for First Command Financial Services as a Licensing Supervisor for over 30 years.
Rose Mary had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She loved her family and love hanging out with her dog Max. Rose Mary was always there when needed. She would go above and beyond for her family. She loved gift giving. When she went shopping, she was always buying for others instead of herself. Family was everything to her. Rose Mary loved to go out with the girls for dinner and drinks. She did this every chance she could. Rose Mary also liked vacationing. She got herself into one of those time shares, so it was mostly vacationing in south Texas and her favorite vacation spot was Hawaii. Rose Mary’s interests were music, dancing, and cooking. Rose Mary and Rick’s date nights mostly consisted of dining out and attending concerts. Rose Mary loved to dance but once she married Rick dancing was no longer an option. Rick wasn’t the dancing type. Cooking was her passion. She had several goto recipes that she loved preparing for family and friends. Rose Mary also had several lifelong friends that she enjoyed spending time with. Rose Mary will be truly missed!
