Robert "Joe" Worden

1/7/1969 - 12/23/2020

Graveside service for Joe Worden will be at the Bradley Cemetery on Monday, February 15th, 2021, at 2 pm.

Joe passed away in Lewisville, Texas, on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020, at the age of 51. He was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, on January 7th, 1969, to Sid and Jeanette Worden. He grew up on the family farm in Ninnekah, where he attended school and graduated from Ninnekah High School in 1987. He then went on to the University of Oklahoma and later to Oklahoma State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management. He loved interacting with people, and this degree allowed him the opportunity to do that and to live anywhere he wished. After college, he lived in Tulsa, Duncan, Chicago, and finally settled in Dallas, Texas, where he lived for almost 20 years.

Joe loved to travel and has friends all over the world. Some of his favorite international trips were to the Canary Islands, Italy, Australia, Germany, & Mexico. Joe had a deep appreciation for art and visited art museums worldwide.  He was generous with his words of encouragement. His favorite poem was "Our Deepest Fear" by Marianne Williamson. She encourages people to let their light shine and reminds everyone that they are a child of God.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Sid and Jeanette Worden, and two brothers, Richard and John Worden. He is survived by brothers: Randy Christian, Larry Worden, and Don Worden. Nephews: Matt Worden, James Worden, Kenneth Worden, and Johnnie Eilerts. Nieces: Brandi Woods and Sheila Geringer. Great nephews: Beau Worden, Kaeden Woods, and Stanley Mayhugh. Great nieces: Daisy Worden, Dixie Worden, Maleah Woods, Madeline Eilerts, Rashanda Mayhugh, and Kaylee Geringer. Aunts and Uncles: Woody and Lynette Stamper and Johnny and Cherie Stamper. Sisters-in-law: Mary Danford, Carol Worden, Donna Thomas, Deb Christian, and Joan Talley. He leaves behind many other family members and friends.
