Gisela Virginia Minton-Williams passed away surrounded by family and friends on April 16, 2023, at the age of 68 in Arlington, TX.
The beloved wife, mother, Mimi, sister, and friend fought a hard battle with leukemia. Gigi was born on May 19, 1954 to Elena Dallapozza & Hubert Minton in Fort Worth, TX. Gigi grew up in Haltom City where she was proud to be a Haltom Highstepper. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Gigi went into the healthcare field and became a nurse. She worked as a nurse for 42 years before retiring to spend more time with her grandchildren. Bri, Emerson, Landry, Wesley, Knox, and Halley were her pride and joy.
Gigi was married to Mark Williams for 32 years. Between the two of them, Gigi had one son and three daughters. Some of her fondest memories include Dr. Pepper, watching Survivor in her muumuu, napping, game nights, karaoke, two-stepping, cooking, and asking her famous “20 questions.”
Gigi is preceded in death by her mother Elena, son Clayton Williams, and brother Andre Minton. She is survived by: Her husband Mark. Her daughters, Elly, Lindy, and Holly. Her sister Yolonda. Her wonderful son in laws Doug, David and Chris, and many other numerous cousins Maria, Mary Ann, Mike, Dana, Lenora, and Mochi.
Gigi will be laid to rest side by side with her son and mother at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to The Leukemia Society or Arlington Seventh Day Adventist Church.
