In Loving Memory of Maria Del Carmen Hernandez, a Beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished Carmen, who departed this world on April 22, 2024, at the age of 77. Surrounded by the love of her family, she peacefully transitioned from this life to the next.

Born on March 23, 1947, Carmen faced life with courage and grace, despite being deaf. Her unwavering determination and positive spirit inspired all who knew her. She embraced her deafness as a unique aspect of her identity, proving that true communication transcends words. Carmen enjoyed her arts and crafts, finding solace and joy in creating her own unique drawings. Her heart spoke volumes through her acts of kindness and her passion for her drawings and crafts. Her creativity knew no bounds, and she shared her talents generously with those around her.

Although the challenges Carmen faced, she lived life with gratitude and joy. Her passion for her arts and crafts kept us connected, reminding all who knew her to cherish every moment we are given.

Carmen was preceded in death by her husband Salvador Hernandez and parents Guadalupe and Consuelo Martinez. She is survived by her son Juan A. Hernandez, her daughter Maria Del Carmen Hernandez, her son-in-law Edgar Monsivais, her four grandchildren, Christopher J. Hernandez, Isabella H. Hernandez, Sophia A. Monsivais and Emilia I. Monsivais, along with a host of extended family.

Though she may no longer be with us in body, Carmen's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her love and creativity. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate her life and the profound impact she had on each of us.

Rest in peace, dear Carmen. Your love and light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever. May you find peace in the embrace of the angels above
