Belen Pena Solis Obituary

Belen Peña Solís of Arlington, Texas, passed on to be with the Lord on the morning of January 6, 2021, at the age of 34. Belen was born on May 27, 1986, in Fray Bernardino de Sahagún, Hidalgo, México to Maria Luisa Solís and Daniel Peña San Roman. Belen was a loving and devoted mother to her daughter. She was a wonderful granddaughter, daughter, sister, and aunt. She loved God and kept a strong faith. She enjoyed traveling the world with her daughter and friends, sharing good food and good times, singing and dancing. She cherished the holidays, making memories, and adored her puppy Chloe. Belen graduated from Bowie High School in 2005, attended El Centro College, and graduated from Concorde Career College in 2011 with the Academic Dean’s List and Clinical Excellence Award as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.

Belen was a caretaker for five years at The Courtyards at Riverpark, an assisted living facility in Fort Worth before achieving her goal of becoming a nurse. Upon graduating she worked for Whole Woman's Health of Fort Worth for eight years until the final year of her life. During her time there she also worked for Applesoft Homecare Services and Elim Homehealth. Belen was a loyal employee and a devout nurse because she had a heart of gold. She loved her patients and their families. She cared for so many people and touched so many lives during her time on earth. Her life was a blessing to everyone who had the privilege to know her .

Left to cherish Belen’s memory are her daughter, Celeste Gisele Martinez; her mother, Maria Luisa Solís; her grandfather, Maximiliano Solís Gomez; her grandmother, Juana Romero Martinez; her sister and brother in-law, Daniela and Michael Treviño; her sister and brother in-law, Claudia Catanzaro-Solís and Cole Johnson; her nephew, Ishamel Majid Solís and her baby niece/nephew who she couldn't wait to meet. Additional survivors include hundreds of family and friends all of whom she loved dearly and who loved her dearly in return. She is preceded in death by her dear friend and grandmother to her daughter, Viola Maria Martinez and her step-father, Mario Catanzaro.
