Rey "Chief" Herrera, age 53 was called home to be with the Lord on Jan 3, 2021, he was born October 15,1967 to Clementine Gonzales and Manuel Herrera, he attended North Side High School. Rey was strong, kindhearted, ambitious and as solid as they come, a hard worker. He worked many years in foundation repair, while having a heavy passion for motorcycles, he spent many hours working on them, keeping close to family, friends and friends he called his brothers who also became part of his family, the Mixed Souls MC. And believe, he ran through his share of bikes, he loved riding side by side with them. Going on adventures, camping with his kids by the lake, he loved the water. Rey was also crafty and creative with anything he got his hands on, it was always cool how he would point something out and see art in it.
He was never shy, he expressed how he felt often and although some may have agreed or disagreed with him, there was no doubt he left an impression on you that made you respect who he was as a person, a trait anyone would be grateful to come across, he was a good man, always kept a positive attitude even if he was having a bad day. Rey left a mark on so many peoples lives throughout his lifetime whom he loved and cared for, so if he called you Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter, Grandson, Granddaughter, Aunt, Uncle, Friend etc., you better believe he meant that with every drop of love he had. Rey "Chief" will be deeply missed by everyone who loves him but nevertheless he will be celebrated and remembered, forever.
Rey was survived by his mother Clementine Arreguin; his siblings Marcus Herrera and Benjamin Arreguin; his children Donovan Herrera (Patricia), Blade Herrera, Alex Herrera (Karen), Eric Herrera (Stephanie), Marisa Herrera (Daniel Stambaugh); his grandchildren Olivia Herrera, Christian Herrera and Elena Herrera. Rey was preceded in death by his father Manuel Herrera Sr. and his brother Manuel Herrera Jr.
Rey's wishes were to be cremated, a Memorial Celebration of his Life will be held at Mosque Point Park, 8375 Cahoba Dr. Fort Worth, Tx 76135, January 12, 2021 at 12:00 pm.
