Anne P. (Calley) Tsigounis

Born Anna Patricia Sessa on January 20, 1925 in Jersey City, New Jersey, Anne passed away in Fort Worth, Texas, on January 8, 2022, just shy of 97 years. She worked as a Woman’s Editor for a newspaper in Ridgefield Park, and later as a Dental Assistant for Harold Blum in Hackensack, New Jersey.

Anne was blessed with four children by Fred Calley, but after 12 years of marriage had to raise them herself when he passed away in 1959.  Anne married longtime friend, Stanley Tsigounis, in 1976. They had a wonderful, long marriage that included beautiful homes, entertaining many friends, and jet setting around the world. Anne was widowed again in 2012.

Anne was a free spirit, vivacious, cultured, well-read, and loved by all. She had a passion for art and volunteered as a Docent for 30 years at the Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Florida. She considered Sarasota her home, though her final years were spent near family in Texas.

She is survived by daughters Tricia O’Neill and Calley O’Neill, son, Rick Calley and Daughter-in-law, Marilyn Calley. Daughter, Dee Calley, went ahead of Anne to get Heaven ready for her homecoming. Anne’s grandchildren include: Kevin Calley, Megan Calley, Mark Calley, Leianna Gazaui, Noa Eads, and Sean Calley. Great grandchildren are: Skylar and Katelynn Calley, Cameron Freed, Ethan Dicker, and Jack Calley.
